In B1 exercises, you need to quickly see government, gender, number, case, tense, or verb aspect. Forms that feel familiar but work differently in Polish often cause the most trouble.
Preparation is more effective when each rule is immediately fixed through a short task with an answer and explanation.
The grammar module checks whether you can choose the correct endings and constructions: from cases and conjunctions to questions, transformations, verb aspect, and prepositions.
The first task checks deklinacja: correct endings of nouns, adjectives, and pronouns in the context of a connected text. Usually you choose one of three forms in brackets.
The second task asks you to connect sentences using conjunctions and linking words: żeby, bo, lecz, a, ponieważ, który. Most often, words are taken from a box and inserted into gaps in a text.
The third part checks degrees of comparison: dobry, lepszy, najlepszy; dobrze, lepiej, najlepiej. The format often looks like choosing the correct form from three options.
In the fourth task, you manually write the form of a verb given in brackets as an infinitive. Present and past tense forms are tested.
In the fifth task, you need to ask a correct question about the underlined word. Sometimes one question word is enough, but often you need a whole phrase: Czym?, O co?, Z czego?, Do kogo?
This is one of the most important grammar tasks. You need to paraphrase a sentence with the given word while keeping the original meaning.
The seventh part checks choosing the verb form in context: perfective or imperfective aspect, as well as conditional and imperative forms.
In the final task, you insert a suitable preposition from a box. The task checks not only the meaning of the preposition, but also which case it requires after it.
