How the grammar part works

In B1 exercises, you need to quickly see government, gender, number, case, tense, or verb aspect. Forms that feel familiar but work differently in Polish often cause the most trouble.

Preparation is more effective when each rule is immediately fixed through a short task with an answer and explanation.

What to learn to see

  • Government: which case a verb, preposition, or negation requires in a concrete phrase.
  • Agreement: gender, number, and the form of a noun, adjective, pronoun, or verb must match.
  • Construction meaning: in transformations, the original idea must stay the same even when word order and cases change.
Format

Eight task types

The grammar module checks whether you can choose the correct endings and constructions: from cases and conjunctions to questions, transformations, verb aspect, and prepositions.

The first task checks deklinacja: correct endings of nouns, adjectives, and pronouns in the context of a connected text. Usually you choose one of three forms in brackets.

  • What is tested: case, number, gender, and adjective-noun agreement.
  • Traps: celownik, narzędnik, dopełniacz, and masculine personal plural forms, czyli rodzaj męskoosobowy.
  • How to practice: learn the ending together with the preposition, verb, and the word’s role in the sentence.

Grammar mini demo

Try the format where you do not choose an option, but manually transform the sentence while preserving the original meaning.

Practice example

This training example helps show the structure of a grammar task: the source sentence, cue, answer form, and grammar accuracy check.

Transformacja zdań

Rewrite the sentence so that the meaning stays the same.

Use the word in brackets and transform the sentence so that it has the same meaning.

PRZYKŁAD
Moja mama dobrze mówi po niemiecku.
(zna)
Moja mama dobrze zna niemiecki.
1. Marii nie stresuje rozmowa z komisją.

What to focus on

Do not try to review all grammar at once. Work by mistake type and return to topics that keep damaging answers.

  • Cases: after prepositions, negation, quantities, and verb government.
  • Word forms: adjectives, nouns, and pronouns in correct agreement.
  • Transformations: rewriting a sentence without losing the meaning.
